On 17 May, I made you a commitment.

Those of you at the masterclass heard me say this: every framework I showed you is usable today. No ₹50L system. No consultant. No 6-month pilot.

This newsletter is where I follow through. Every week: one practical playbook, one number that matters, one thing I would try first on your plant. Five minutes to read.

This week's playbook: The 4-question Operations Audit

Most digital transformation projects fail before the first line of code is written. They fail when nobody asks the plant floor what actually hurts.

These are the 4 questions I use before recommending any AI tool to a manufacturing client. You can run this on your own plant today.

Question 1. Where does data die on your shopfloor?
Name one decision that depends on information collected on paper, WhatsApp, or a phone call. That is your highest-priority digitization target.

Question 2. Which decisions wait 24+ hours for an answer?
Production scheduling. Vendor payment approval. Quality hold sign-off. Pick the one that costs you the most when it waits. That is your AI candidate, not the one your software vendor is pitching.

Question 3. Which documents cannot be filed in 60 seconds?
If your team cannot find a quality certificate, vendor invoice, or SOP in under 60 seconds, you have a document-intelligence problem. AI fixes this faster and cheaper than any DMS.

Question 4. Which buyer pays you slowest, and do you know why?
Most MSME cash-cycle pain concentrates in 2 to 3 buyer relationships. If you do not know which ones, your working capital problem is a data problem first.

Run these four questions with your plant head or operations manager this week. Write the answers down. They are the first input to any AI roadmap.

This week's number: 56 points

80% of Indian organizations are exploring agentic AI. Only 24% are deploying it. That 56-point gap is not a technology gap. It is an implementation gap: the distance between understanding AI and running it on a live plant floor with real data.

Scalatris works inside that gap. That is the only thing we do.

Coming next week

A 3-prompt system for vendor payment forecasting, so your finance team sees the cash-out timeline before it becomes a problem, not after.

Interested in the 8-week program?

I am designing an 8-week AI for Manufacturing program — one use case per week, built around your plant’s actual data, not generic slide decks. The cohort is intentionally small. If you want to be first to know when it opens, reply to this email with one word: INTERESTED. No commitment.

Know someone who should read this?

Forward this to one plant head, MSME founder, or operations leader in your network. If 3 people subscribe through your referral link, I will send you the AI Prompt Toolkit for Manufacturing Leaders: 30 prompts across cash flow, production planning, quality, procurement, compliance, and people management.

That is all for Issue #1.
